What is your favourite colour? A question you are often asked as a child. We used that question to ignite a campaign to drive awareness of G.F Smith’s colour-making service for bespoke papers and packaging solutions. Delivering acquisition through social, PR, earned and owned channels, 10’s of thousands of creatives across the world shared their answer through a custom built digital platform.

The result was Marr’s Green, a new best-selling Colorplan colour for G.F Smith, press coverage on the front page of the Telegraph and Financial Times, and earned media through collaborations with other iconic British brands. A project in collaboration with our creative agency Made Thought.

Project Scope

The project required multiple campaign deliverables - from product collaborations with Anglepoise, Sunspel and Cambridge Satchel Company, an in-depth analysis report to be used as a sales tool for G.F Smith to inspire their customers, presentations to designers across the world, a content and social campaign that ran for 6 months, global press coverage, and a Wikipedia page entry dedicated to Marr’s Green. We launched the new colour at Papercity, part of City of Culture 2017, and opened a pop-up shop in Hull and London.
